Ghostophobia 0.8 Release!


Exactly 2 years ago, on the night of March 7th to 8th, I uploaded the first version of Ghostophobia to itch.io. Today Ghostophobia turns 2 years old. There were many different difficulties. There were many losses, one of which was the complete loss of the project for some time. However, as time passed, I was able to restore it.

Special thanks to Zareth, who helped with the models for version 0.8.

Also, a huge thank you to TNC Gamer and his YouTube channel, without which I probably would have given up and would not have continued the project beyond the 4th-5th version.

It was a very fun 2 years. I hope version 08 does not disappoint you and you have fun in the game. Invite your friends, it's more fun!

Now let's move on to the changes and additions of this update:

1) Added tutorial, it didn't looks the best, but it explained what needs to be done.

2) Added a system of money and levels for players. Purchasing items. Tasks. Photos. Bones. Purchasing necessary items.

3) The truck is no longer useless! It has 3 monitors: sanity indicators; activity schedule; camera screen (viewing angle redesigned). Due to the appearance of the sanity screen, the player's indicator (in the form of a white brain) has now been removed.

4) The "Ghost showing yourself" evidence has been removed. Instead, the evidence "Ghost seen in laser projector" has been added. Laser projector - now evidence!

5) Now evidence that the ghost does not have can be crossed out.

6) The ghost is now less likely to give evidence "Ghost open doors"

7) The ghost hunting has been slightly reworked, maybe you will have time to notice it before you are killed :)

8) There will now be fewer sudden deaths, because... When a ghost starts hunting, its ability to attack is recharged.

9) New models of characters and items. (Thanks Zareth)

10) Picking up objects is now easier.

11) Some optimization has been done. Now the game has been quietly ported to Android.

12) You can now place marks on the [Q] key. This can be useful in a team.

13) By pressing the [Y] button you can now talk to the ghost even if you don't have a microphone.

14) Added text chat.

15) Added sounds of footsteps and falling of some objects.

16) The flashlight is now a separate item that occupies a slot.

17) Added equippable equipment (Belt, Backpack, Headlamp, Light Boots, Holy Defence)

18) The ghost's room now has steam coming out of its mouth.

19) Additional slots for tools and devices can be purchased.

20) Simple graphics (2d models),some bugfixes and old map

That's all I have for now. Version 0.9 is just around the corner. I'll go assemble a development team.
